Order 818 takes effect: BCI joins gene and cell therapy on China's parallel commercial track
The State Council's biomedical-new-technologies regulation took effect 1 May 2026, letting Chinese hospitals charge for BCI commercially after a translation approval. Foreign-invested enterprises remain locked out.
